Welcome to the jQuery Mobile Demo App for Drupal! We’re going to replace the contents of the tag of our index.html with some content structured for jQuery Mobile: For instance, … wraps a mobile page, while … is the header and … is the content of the page. With those tags, you’ll need to tell jQuery Mobile how your content is structured with the new HTML5 data-* attributes. I mentioned that jQuery Mobile wants its content structured into tags instead of individual HTML pages. You can link to other HTML files, of course, but you may lose your transitions between the two – and mobile users strart to expect to see those transitions. To minimize download time, and to enable transition effects between pages, it’s best to set up as many of your pages in one HTML file as possible. This is a little different from what you might be used to, where each page in a web application is a separate HTML file. This is because jQuery Mobile expects your content to be in tags that correspond to individual pages in your mobile application. Now that we have jQuery Mobile added to our project, go ahead and run the project – you shouldn’t see any difference in the output from the iPhone Simulator. Now open the index.html in your www folder so we can add the CSS file and the two Javascript files. You’ll also need to download jQuery 1.6.2 from into your javascripts folder. Create another folder under the file into the javascripts folder. In the finder, create a new folder under the file into the css folder. We will bundle the CSS, Javascript, and images into our app to minimize download times. The next step is to download and add jQuery Mobile (from ) to your XCode project. Now run the project again, (stopping the currently running DrupalApp if it is still running) and PhoneGap should let you know it’s working: Xcode will prompt you to create folder references for any added folders – choose this option if the Create groups option is selected. It should look like this:ĭrag the This is so XCode will bundle the contents of the www folder with your app when it packages the app to run on the iPhone Simulator or on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. Open up the DrupalApp project folder in Finder. ![]() Now that we have our XCode project set up, and we’ve run our project, we need to add the Luckily, this is pretty easy. Here’s what the iPhone Simulator will look like: The first time you run your project, PhoneGap will actually create a www folder you can drag into XCode to get started. PhoneGap will load, but it won’t have any content to display. Hit the Play button in the upper left hand corner of XCode to run your project in the iPhone Simulator. XCode 4 will do some processing, and then you should see your new DrupalApp project in Xcode. Now put your new project into a folder of your choice (for instance, under your home directory’s Documents), and let XCode 4 create a local git repository if it offers to. I’m going to use DrupalApp as my Product Name, and com.jefflinwood as my company identifier. You should see the PhoneGap template as one of your options:Ĭlick Next on the Choose your template dialog ![]() I’m also going to target iOS 4.x and above, using the PhoneGap Media Capture API to access the camera.Īfter running the PhoneGap installer, open XCode 4 and start a new project. To build the client application, first download and install the latest version of PhoneGap, following the directions for getting started here:įor this post, I’m using XCode 4 as the IDE for iOS, so I linked to the specific directions for that platform. Drupal 7 has a lot of functionality built in, but not web services, so you will need to install the Services 3 module. ![]() I’m going to use Drupal 7 as the server for the app. We’ll get to Drupal a little bit further down the road, so if you just want to do some apps that don’t connect to a server, this post should be useful. This first post in the series will get you up and running with jQuery Mobile and PhoneGap on iOS with XCode 4. Using PhoneGap, you can also create apps for Android, WebOS, Android, Blackberry, and Symbian. I’m going to use the PhoneGap project to create an iPhone application out of the jQuery Mobile app that you can install onto your iPhone. In this series of posts, I’m going to discuss how to build a jQuery Mobile HTML5 App that talks to Drupal 7 using AJAX, REST and JSON.

In many aspects of our projects she has coordinated the efforts of many for us to achieve our various goals making sure everyone is timely, complete and in sync with one another. This was invaluable as we relocated to Florida from Georgia and were not familiar with this area. This project seemed so daunting before we met her and now we are having so much fun! Janise has also been able to provide us with a huge network of contacts that we have needed to execute our decor and renovation plans. My husband's taste being more "traditional" and myself more "contemporary" she has done a brilliant job with consistently providing concepts and suggestions that have bridged our goals and made us both extremely happy. Janise is an absolute joy to work with. The quartz grains in the core are coated and held in place by small amounts of a soda-lime-silicate glass. The bulk of this core material is made up of angular quartz grains without any visible clay particles, and always has the appearance of being artificially powdered. These particles tend to be white but can be very pale blue, green, brown, or gray, depending on impurities contained in source materials. The core is friable and porous, and is made up of particles that can vary in size from fine to coarse. Observed in cross-section, the microstructure of faience reveals at least two different layers of material: an inner core and an outer layer of glaze. ![]() During the firing process, the alkali (acting as a flux) and the lime (acting as a stabilizer) react with the silica in the core to form a glaze on the surface. Although faience was made in a range of bright colors, the turquoise blue color so characteristic of the material is created with copper. In addition to silica, faience also contains alkaline salts (the source of which was either natron or plant ash), minor amounts of lime, and a metallic colorant. However, since there has been little agreement on an alternative term, “faience” remains the most commonly used.Įgyptian faience is a ceramic material with a siliceous body and a brightly colored glaze. Maiolica is earthenware known for its bright colors applied on white tin-opacified glaze Egyptian faience is neither earthenware nor tin-glazed. The term “ faience” is actually a misnomer, as it also refers, more accurately, to the maiolica originating from Faenza and other towns in northern Italy in the late fifteenth century A.D. ![]() Faience was inlaid into furniture and into walls as tomb and temple decoration ( 48.160.1 26.7.991). ![]() Some of the earliest faience objects made in Egypt were beads, soon followed by small votive temple offerings and royal tomb objects. Its technological refinement and major triumphs, however, were surely accomplished in Egypt. ![]() It may have been invented in the ancient Near East following the development of an alkaline glaze on quartz stones. and has occurred in various forms up to the present day. This man-made substance allowed the Egyptians to make a wide variety of objects covered in shiny, bright blue glaze-a color that was closely linked with fertility, life, and the gleaming qualities of the sun.įaience first appeared at the end of the fifth millennium B.C. Faience may have been developed to simulate highly prized and rare semi-precious blue stones like turquoise. While faience is made of common materials-quartz, alkaline salts, lime, and mineral-based colorants-it maintained important status among precious stones and metals. For Egyptians, the sculptures, vessels, jewelry, and ritual objects made of faience glimmered with the brilliance of eternity. In ancient Egypt, objects created with faience were considered magical, filled with the undying shimmer of the sun, and imbued with the powers of rebirth. ![]() Red kangaroo Platypus, Hand painted kangaroo, watercolor Painting, mammal, animals png 1000x1056px 534.49KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz Perry the Platypus Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, doctor who, hand, villain, cartoon png 620x1018px 229.82KB Fauna of Australia Platypus, polar bear, mammal, animals, carnivoran png 734x1000px 325KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz Ferb Fletcher, others, mammal, vertebrate, cartoon png 784圆52px 137.86KB Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn Perry the Platypus The Walt Disney Company Character, Cartoon Butt Pics, text, hand, boy png 433x1326px 38.39KB.Perry the Platypus Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher Candace Flynn, duck, animals, fictional Character, cartoon png 375x750px 103.45KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz Ferb Fletcher, others, television, fauna, cartoon png 700x467px 127.13KB platypus, animals, happy Birthday Vector Images, cartoon png 1500x1208px 380.8KB.Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher Perry the Platypus Candace Flynn YouTube, cartoon network, child, hand, cartoon png 1121x968px 322.4KB.Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn Candace Flynn Perry the Platypus, sleepwear, png 652x720px 289.08KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz, others, mammal, fauna, cartoon png 1024x968px 146.84KB Perry the Platypus Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher Dr.Perry the Platypus Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher Child, child, png 4908x3670px 406.03KB.Perry the Platypus Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher, others, game, orange, vertebrate png 797x339px 78.35KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz, phineas and ferb, cartoon, phineas, phineas And Ferb png 844x947px 283.29KB ![]() Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher Perry the Platypus Dr.Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn Candace Flynn Perry the Platypus Jeremy Johnson, candice phineas, television, hand, cartoon png 652x720px 330.84KB.Platypus Icon, Monotreme, Platypus, png 1280圆40px 61KB.Perry the Platypus Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, others, pet, fauna, bird png 900x537px 152.92KB.Wombat Koala Tasmanian devil Burrow Platypus, Australia, mammal, fauna, world png 3023x2143px 4.76MB.Perry the Platypus Phineas Flynn Ferb Fletcher, fern, vertebrate, fictional Character, cartoon png 884x1118px 193.18KB.Platypus Duck Beaver Otter, duck, mammal, animals, fauna png 768x512px 305.86KB.Perry the Platypus, others, carnivoran, fauna Of Australia, echidna png 1307x1413px 311.2KB.Platypus Indian Runner duck Beaver Mammal, ANIMAl, animals, fauna, wildlife png 2626x1583px 1.09MB.Perry the Platypus Beak, angel of death, hat, vertebrate, cartoon png 1024x1163px 106.08KB.Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Cute s Of Platypuses, orange, vertebrate, cartoon png 2000x1584px 244.79KB Heinz Doofenshmirtz Ferb Fletcher, Platypus, mammal, vertebrate, fictional Character png 806x992px 139.46KB Sea otter Sea lion Platypus Puppy, otter, marine Mammal, mammal, animals png 848圆69px 699.68KB.Perry the Platypus Duck, Cartoon Platypus s, mammal, carnivoran, dog Like Mammal png 839x494px 75.47KB.Donald Duck American Pekin Platypus Beak, duck, animals, orange, cartoon png 1078x742px 418.35KB.Perry the Platypus Candace Flynn Jeremy Johnson Ferb Fletcher Phineas Flynn, Platypus, orange, fauna, cartoon png 764x402px 45.86KB.cartoon platypus, paw, brown, black png 800x523px 339.61KB.Taz illustration, Tasmanian devil Platypus, Griffin, watercolor Painting, mammal, cat Like Mammal png 3936x3128px 434.3KB. ![]() With this full, automated perspective corrections are just a click away. PhotoLab 5 has lens corrections but not perspective corrections – for this you need the DxO ViewPoint add-on. The tools are now organised into groups according to their purpose – Light, Color, Detail, Geometry, Local Adjustments and Effects. It would be easy for new users to be intimidated by the sheer number of tools and panels, though DxO has made improvements here. We have ours set up with a histogram and navigator panel in the left sidebar and adjustment tools in the right sidebar. ![]() The Customise (editing) window is more complicated. PhotoLab’s PhotoLibrary window is pretty straightforward, with a folder tree and search field in the left sidebar, histogram and metadata panels on the right and thumbnails in the middle – the interface is actually highly customisable. Speaking of ‘virtual’, you can create as many virtual copies of an image as you like without duplicating the image file itself on your computer. Other things to note about PhotoLab 5 is that it is a non-destructive editor, so until you export a new, processed version of your photo, your changes are purely ‘virtual’ and visible only inside PhotoLab. PhotoLab 5 is a fully non-destructive editor – here we have one image with four different 'virtual copies', each with a different editing treatment. When you want to edit an image, you switch to the Customise window, where PhotoLab will automatically apply lens corrections based on its inbuilt profiles – or prompt you to download them if you don’t have them yet. These keywords conform to IPTC standards and are visible in other programs too. ![]() Specifically, you can apply keywords and search for images with specific keywords too. ![]() New in PhotoLab 5, though, is support for EXIF and IPTC metadata. It’s not Lightroom by any means, but for those who like to organize their images with physical folders it’s fine. First, it has an improved PhotoLibrary panel where you can browse your images by folders, carry out basic searches based on image parameters and even create virtual Projects (or albums). So let’s take a look at what DxO PhotoLab 5 can do from a workflow perspective. The DxO PhotoLibrary is a basic but effective image organizer, now with EXIF, IPTC metadata support and keywords. Both versions will correct lens distortion, chromatic aberration, corner shading and even edge softness automatically, but to get the perspective correction tools we now take for granted in other software for fixing converging verticals, for example, you need to get the DxO ViewPoint add-on, which is more again. What PhotoLab does not have built in is perspective correction tools, even in the Elite edition. 1 month plan - $0 per month ($0 total cost).Quite apart from anything else, it comes with DxO’s very effective ClearView contrast enhancement and its uncannily effective DeepPRIME noise reduction – which could completely change your mind about ‘acceptable’ ISO settings on your camera. PhotoLab 5 is sold in both Essential and Elite editions, but if you want the best that DxO’s raw processing can offer, we would recommend the more expensive Elite edition. ![]() So, let’s get started and check out the list: The newborn baby checklistĭisclosure: MyMommyHeart is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to 1. Almost all major functions or job roles like R&D, sales, engineering, finance, logistics and HR can be performed in a virtual environment. In order to sustain global competition, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can draw from the knowledge sharing and collaborative systems of virtual teams to integrate with their vendors, customers and suppliers. The success of SMEs depends on two factors, i.e., product quality and productivity. Today almost all industry sectors ranging from construction, manufacturing, healthcare and automotive to retail and non-profit are benefiting from the virtual teams.Īcross the globe, on one hand larger organizations like Hewlett Packard, Whirlpool, Texas Instruments, British Petroleum etc with their huge resources and capabilities draw on the benefits of virtual teams to increase their productivity and services to customer, on the other hand, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) use it to enhance their competitiveness. Though virtual teams rely heavily on information and communication technology but it is not just restricted to the IT industry. By 2007, it led to huge cost savings for the organization, to the tune of $68 million. More and more organizations are adopting virtual team approach to reduce their operating costs, encourage knowledge sharing among their employees to promote organizational learning and expand their business hours to 24/7 by utilizing the different time zones of virtual team members.įor example Sun Microsystems had started an initiative called Open Work Program in 1998 which supported its employees to work from anywhere and at anytime (telecommuting). As organizations continue to fight for talent which is fast becoming a scarce resource, virtual team structure allows organizations to leverage the available talent across boundaries. Virtual teams play a key role in order to meet these demands. Owing to the increasing competition in the marketplace, decentralization and globalization of work processes and advances in information and communication technologies, organizations demand flexibility and agility in their delivery of products and services. The experts from United States, Brazil and Italy were brought together to form a virtual team to develop a chlorofluorocarbon-free refrigerator. A classic example is that of the virtual team formed by Whirlpool Corporation in late 1990s for its new product development division. Generally virtual teams are formed for temporary period of time to achieve a critical task say, problem solving or new product development. Virtual teams are the group of individuals spread across different time zones, cultures, languages or, ethnicities which are united by a common goal.Īccording to Powell, Piccoli and Ives, virtual team is defined as groups of geographically, organizationally and/or time dispersed workers brought together by information and telecommunication technologies to accomplish one or more organizational tasks. And, virtual teams are the latest buzzword in the corporate circles of 21st century. With the don of Information Age, a new form of organizational structures has emerged, which is known as the network organizations. ![]() This was followed by the birth of bureaucratic organizations of Industrial era. Then came the agricultural civilization which led to the growth of hierarchies in organizations. In pre-historic times, the nomadic era of hunters and gatherers was the first time when man came together in small groups with a shared vision of survival. Keeping with the changes in the human civilization, the organizational structures also evolved. The surging sale of PCs in 1960s followed by the popularity of cellular phones in 1970s, voicemail in 1980s, and internet & World Wide Web in 1990s gradually paved way for the virtual workplace. In recent past, a team constituted of members from more or less one culture, present at one place and time working together to achieve a defined goal. But by late 1950s, it started taking up a new meaning of temporarily simulated or extended by computer software. ![]() Origin of Virtual TeamsĪccording to, the word virtual drew its meaning from virtue in early 14th century. When these groups of individuals come together for a common cause or purpose with a shared vision, they form not just a team but what we call today a virtual team. The regular live chats on Skype or status updates on Facebook, which ensure one stays connected with his/her dispersed acquaintances, provide the social platforms for this virtual world to exist. ![]() In todays fast pace world, we all lead a virtual life parallel to an actual one. Larger and smaller marker fields are available on demand, whereby all marking tasks can be optimally solved. Field sizes of up to 220 mm x 220 mm can be achieved with the use of further optics. In the standard configuration, this has an edge length of 120 mm x 120 mm for 1064 nm. The focal length of the processing optic determines the size of the square-marking field. The cooling system is integrated into the compact laser unit. Laser excitation takes place via laser diodes: maintenance-free pump sources with very long lifetimes and high efficiency. VectorMark impact 1 is predestined for applications which require high performance and small cycle times as required for deep enraving, annealing or IC marking processes. The new laser complements the well established VectorMark product range and combines a high quality beam with an even greater performance. The VectorMark impact 1 is the first representation of a new generation of laser markers. Even flame retardant and self-extinguishing material, which detracted from the advantages of laser marking, can be marked now with the VectorMark compact 6 to a degree of quality which has never been achieved until now. Especially with critical material, the marking quality can be improved and a higher marking speed can be achieved. This short wavelength light reacts directly with the bonds of the plastic, thus preventing the effects of damage caused by heat. The UV-wavelength will establish a new dimension of marking synthetic material. Frequency-doubled systems with 532 nm wavelength and frequency-tripled systems emitting radiation in the near-ultraviolet range at 355 nm are available for marking plastics and semiconductor materials. The basic version of the laser marking system emits laser light in the infrared range at 1064 nm (IR). Depending on the process requirements and material, the suitable laser can be chosen. It comprises the VectorMark compact and the VectorMark impact series with different power outputs, wavelengths and laser active media.
